Court of Justice of the European Communities
The judgments of the Court – together with the treaties, regulations, directives and decisions – make up Community law. The Court interprets Council and Commission Regulations. It also has unlimited jurisdiction to review the Commission’s decisions imposing a fine or periodic penalty payment and thus operates as an appeal instance in competition matters.
