The Justice, Freedom and Security DG works to realise the objectives of the Hague programme 2005-2010 for freedom, security and justice in the European Union, with emphasis on fundamental rights of citizens, fight against terrorism and organised crime, immigration and asylum and cooperation between police, judicial and customs authorities.
