Court of Justice of the European Communities
The judgments of the Court together with the treaties, regulations, directives and decisions make up Community law. The Court interprets Council and Commission Regulations. It also has unlimited jurisdiction to review the Commissions decisions imposing a fine or periodic penalty payment and thus operates as an appeal instance in competition matters.
