EU Press Service
5. Audiovisual Services
The Audiovisual Service of the European Commission can provide real-time audiovisual news coverage to the media around the world via the Internet and via Europe by Satellite. They offer video, audio and photo coverage of European news and also have available historical, European audiovisual material dating from the 1940s.
All the materials are available in professional standards and free of charge for broadcasters, news agencies, written press, educational purposes, and anyone wishing to spread information on the activities of the European Union.
Television and radio journalists covering the EU may also get help from the Audiovisual Service on location. In the Commissions headquarters, the Berlaymont building in Brussels, two TV studios and two radio studios, plus editing and duplication facilities, ENG crews, as well as archive and play-out services are available.
